Quick Fixes Can Be Detrimental to Your Future Well Being

This is an age when everyone wants everything in double quick time. People want their health problem removed, regardless of the consequences in the future. People are thrown into a panic when they, a child or an animal shows any condition not considered normal.

Pain killers are the most common drug used.
‘Quick, fix my headache. I want to keep working’.
‘Dull the pain of my injury anyhow. I want to return to the game’.

Yet pain killers don’t address the cause of the problem and do cause liver damage. And this is apart from the added problems you build up by ignoring what your body is desperately trying to tell you.

There is no regard for what is happening. And doctors and vets keep this going, as they have no idea what is happening, either. Medicine has no concept of disease, no idea of the importance of understanding what’s going on. Doctors have a great understanding of anatomy. But you are more that a collection of parts. You are an energy being, an evolving soul, going through various experiences.

Few people seem interested in the fact that life is a journey. As with any journey, it’s not a smooth run. You get peaks and troughs. Sometimes the going is tough, sometimes it’s a breeze.

You need to understand the process of disease. Then you can appreciate the importance of allowing things to happen naturally. And know when you need assistance. And what sort of assistance.

Fever is a great example to use here. Fever is a healthy body’s reaction to prevent entry of an unwelcome pathogen. A healthy body will throw out a violent fever that will last a short time. This will be successful in preventing the entry of the pathogen.

An unhealthy body will never be able to throw out a violent fever, managing only a low grade, mild one which is usually not successful in preventing the entry of the pathogen.

Yet, most doctors will try to bring a fever down, thus preventing a healthy body doing its job.

Occasionally, a high fever can go too high and then problems can set it. But this can be treated by homeopathic fever remedies, which support the body’s action, rather than suppressing it. A win-win situation.

There is a group of homeopaths in South America doing some ground breaking work in treating cancer with the homeopathic fever remedies. They have established a link to suppressing fever in the past, to cancer in the present.

Homeopaths talk a lot about suppressing symptoms because it is so detrimental to your overall good health.

And it’s not just physical conditions that are suppressed. Natural emotions are too. Children are taught not to express their emotions - girls shouldn’t get angry, boys shouldn’t cry.

Suppressing your emotions is even more detrimental to your overall good health than suppressing physical symptoms.

When you have had a lifetime of suppressing symptoms, your first visit to a professional homeopath can be cathartic. But it is also a time of taking the lid off, allowing your body to express itself fully.

This can be unfamiliar and alarming, initially. But, in time, it will be welcomed for the relief it provides. Your natural state is to express naturally, as emotions arise.

Although this is going to be tempered by society rules to some extent, as long as you understand when this is happening, you have a better chance of being healthy.

If you can begin to understand that everything in your life is a reflection of who you are, that your illness is giving you an indication of where you are, you’ve made progress. Your weak back may be showing you a lack of support in your life. A kidney infection may be showing you how pissed off you are with someone or some situation in your life. A malfunctioning liver may be an indication of suppressed anger. Lung problems tend to reflect an unresolved grief.

Did you know that tuberculosis is most common in misplaced people? They have been forced to flee their countries, but didn’t want to. Grief ... lungs.

All ailments are an opportunity for you to grow beyond the present, to evolve, to learn from them and move on.

There are many ways to do this, some of them dramatic, some of them highly emotional, not all of them successful.

Homeopathic treatment enables this shift to happen without any effort. Don’t ask me how you can achieve this life-changing event effortlessly, but you can. It’s as if the wires that connected your emotional triggers have been disconnected.

Children and animals are very good at reflecting back to you, who you are. They are far more truthful, honest and ‘real’ than most adult humans are. This is why one of the best things you can do for your children and pets, is to get your own health sorted out, at an energetic level.

I have been an animal ‘rescuer’ in my time (and probably still am to some extent), until I realised the animals were there for me, not the other way round. I fought that concept for many years (so don’t be surprised if you do), but finally had to accept it, the more I investigated.

Don’t look for a quick fix. Allow the problem to make you stop and really look at what is going on in your life, however inconvenient that may be.

Why do you have a headache? It may simply be a question of dehydration. But it could also be because the situation you are in is not acceptable.

A woman came to see me, suffering with migraines. We worked out that it was two unpleasant work colleagues who were causing her migraines. Once she recognised this, she chose to change her job and that cured the migraines.

However, it hasn’t really cured the problem, as similar people can come into your life at any time. Although I’m not suggesting you remain in a job that makes you unhappy, far from it, the problem is often you, not the job.

The energetic shift that a good homeopathic remedy will do, is to make these two unpleasant people insignificant to your life. They will either fade into the background, or the shift will make them more friendly.

This shift is what all homeopaths look for in consultations following a good prescription.
